Work Hours:  8:00 am - 5:00 pm

PRIMARY FUNCTION



The IT Help Desk Support will operate within the Technology Services (TS) team and will provide a single point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's computing environment.  This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading computer hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.  The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. Tickets for the Support Team are targeted to HCLs employees and are treated as customers.  The IT Help Desk Support should have an understanding of ITIL concepts to best assist HCL and its employees. The Support team will also assist with other areas of the TS team as projects arise.




RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Triage all incoming tickets and properly assign to the appropriate team member.

  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade end user computer hardware and equipment.

  • Maintain computer hardware and equipment inventory for the organization.

  • Assists in the implementation, documentation, and training on the use of hardware and software.

  • Assists in developing, writing, and training on the use of hardware and software.

  • Assists in developing, writing, and updating of training documents, computer related procedure manuals, and related material.

  • Acts as the backup for telephone support activities.

  • Assist other IT staff as needed to support department and company goals.

  • Other duties and functions as required




REQUIREMENTS:




  • A+ and Network+ certifications strongly desired.

  • Ticketing system experience strongly desired.

  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately.

  • Expert utilizing various Microsoft Office applications.

  • Possess an Associates or higher degree in a technology related field

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

  • Ability to lift 50lbs

  • Ability to move around unaided (tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, pushing and pulling)

  • Hand and finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer keyboard

  • Have a valid Ohio driver's license
